Ube Hopia
Jim has got a lot of passion for preparing food. Today, he made one of my favourite Filipino delicacies, called UBE HOPIA. It is an awesome treat that everyone could enjoy.
A fresh ube is preferable but a ready-made purple yam would just work and taste as fine. It is available in a jar and would do perfectly well.
For the dough, you will be needing the following:
- 1 1/2 cups of flour
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 3 tablespoons of olive oil and
- enough water to make a dough.
Preheat the oven at 170 degree Celsius for 15 minutes. You will be needing the same length of time for the baking. For the golden brown look, make use of the egg yolk and apply it with a brush on hopia's surface.
Enjoy, everyone!
