DEATH (A Fiction Story) (AN OLD COMPOSITION)

Kathy is from a family that nourishes each members with care, love and affection. She is the eldest and grew to be responsible with every actions and always ready to face consequences for every mistakes..--"an ideal gal" as often described by friends.
Everything was fine until she reached the age of 22. On her father's birthday, her dad asked her if she can try to go overseas. Her dad is the person whom Kathy couldn't say no. They are connected with a bond so special that even caught up in confusion--Kathy said a very convincing--"yes." Her dad knew that it would be hard for her. She lived all her life with them and now he asked her a painful thing---to be away from them. To be away from the comfort zone where Kathy always embraced and drew strength from. Yet, they need to do it--they need to decide to live. Days of packing and still Kathy can't hold those tears from falling. Yet when she faces her family--it seems she's well-prepared and excited...but deep inside---she's a cold spirit.. she knows deep down that she'll be all alone--only her--alone. The night of her departure came. She did not go home until it is almost time to go to the airport. Before, she thought that departing would be easy but then why is she crippling? When it's time to say goodbye, she did it so quick and turned her back--only to cover her tears...She did not look back. When she came in UAE, she starts from scratch. From the simple cooking meals to washing her clothes and buying stuffs all alone in the supermarket. Everything's new to her. Everything seems not easy. Too difficult for someone who was well-cared by her parents. Someone who cries with only silly stuffs...needing the hug of her parents.. Now, She's alone in a strange dessert. As she was walking the streets, she met David. David saw her walking so fast and sweaty--that woke up the curiosity of this British guy. On the third day of seeing Kathy, he asked her where her whereabouts--Kathy smiled. They talked about life and everything. David has become her shoulder to cry on. He has become her comforter. Her inspiration. A twist of fate isn't always easy. When you planned everything and happy about it. A twist comes without a whisper of caution. Months of being happy and working-- getting stable.. When Kathy realized that her nose is bleeding and feeling sick. She wondered what it was. As a nurse, she knew that she has to seek a doctor. She went alone--not informing her family and not even David. She took the news all alone...She has leukemia--and that her time is counted. Taking it, was so hard but she doesn't want anyone to know. She doesn't want anyone to be affected--she doesn't want anyone to cry. Not her family---not David. Days passed and her body is getting weak. She tried to survive--taking medications without anyone's knowledge. But still her body's deteriorating. Her hair is falling off. She cries with blanket on her mouth to cover the sobs.. David headed to Kathy's apartment from work with chocolates and flowers on hand when he found Kathy on the floor--pale and unconscious. He drove as fast to the nearest hospital and knew the condition of his girlfriend. Kathy won't live long. He cried so hard---at Kathy's bed. David, did not pray as he is praying at the moment. Kathy, reached for David's face. Telling him to hush. "I love you--I hope you know that" and there was silence which was followed with deafening cry.
