TODAY'S TAKEAWAY

Jim has a great love for preparing dishes. I entirely have measured its depth now. He wanted things perfect or close to perfection when cooking or baking. He pours himself into it.

Getting Fat...Getting Thin... The Cycle Continues

I get fat, I get thin---sums up my life story. I am an emotional eater. Meaning to say, I eat when I get stressed and even if I am conscious of the fact that I already am eating too much, when I am stressed---I just couldn't help but eat more.
(deep sigh)

IN TIMES OF TEST, FAMILY IS ALWAYS THE BEST, INDEED!

Keziah and Michael are two wonderful individuals. These two gave Jim and I, a surprise visit. The reason? They wanted to cheer me up, they said.

On many occasions, we plans our lives on a neat sheet of itemised details yet it isn't really that simple. We encounter loads of bumps and hiccups. One thing is definite, we can never do it on our own.

SMALL BUSINESS BRINGS ENORMOUS JOY

Yesterday, Jim and I went to get our car's window fixed and we came up with an idea. While we were in the city which was just a couple of minutes away from Carbon, we'll go ahead and start a fruit and vegetable shop at home.

WAITING

It makes me so anxious,
It even makes me so nauseous.
Indeed it is very difficult,
Waiting for that positive result.

HARD CASH (AN OLD COMPOSITION)

No satisfaction can give you much joy,
Than earning from one's own sweat---oh boy.
When working suddenly becomes lighter,
Thinking when a day is done--- salary becomes nearer.

STILL (AN OLD COMPOSITION)

Tired muscles and shaky limbs,
Too tired to move but--no way.
Can't be lazy,
Can't be sick---it would mean a NO PAY.

POETRY (AN OLD COMPOSITION)

When our time goes near,
I hope this would be clear.
That life on earth isn't a time for juggling different games,
But a time to test how we become true to unspecified list of names.

JUST ONCE (AN OLD COMPOSITION)

I am no one,
Compared to anyone.
Just ordinary,
Couldn't think of a quality that's outstanding nor extra-ordinary.

NOT EASY (AN OLD COMPOSITION)

Life is different in a foreign land,
You'll get wiser on determining whose the true man.
Life abroad isn't as luxurious as I once thought,
Got to be strong at heart, stomach, and mind for different battles---those I had all fought.

'TIL WHEN? (AN OLD COMPOSITION)

trembling in the dark,
so confused--ain't seeing even just one spark.
where am I to go?
needing someone to care for me too.

DEATH (A Fiction Story) (AN OLD COMPOSITION)

Kathy is from a family that nourishes each members with care, love and affection. She is the eldest and grew to be responsible with every actions and always ready to face consequences for every mistakes..--"an ideal gal" as often described by friends.

Lovely UK!

UK is indeed the place that I expected it to be. Gentle and wonderful people with fabulous sceneries. Intonation, accents and poetic phrases---continually sound like music to my ears.

Ube Hopia

Jim has got a lot of passion for preparing food. Today, he made one of my favourite Filipino delicacies, called UBE HOPIA. It is an awesome treat that everyone could enjoy.

A fresh ube is preferable but a ready-made purple yam would just work and taste as fine. It is available in a jar and would do perfectly well.

Only a Filipino could totally understand...

Only a pure Filipino could understand the law of the Philippine road or the lack of it. Above is a picture of a 2-lane road. Yes! Exactly, a 2-lane road.

There are a number of peculiar things and ways in the Philippines that one way or another made us curse or disappointed. But this homeland of mine is also a country of bliss.

We still find ways to smile and laugh even if we aren't as organized nor systematic as the other countries. Don't get me wrong. I would really love to see my homeland progress but I just am so amazed of how we became so tolerant, resilient, humble, cool-minded and most of all strong amidst our chaos.

KIDNEY STONES

Hi guys! We had a rough time these past few days. My husband, Jim, is in so much pain and was found out that he has nephrolithiasis (kidney stones).
