POETRY (AN OLD COMPOSITION)

When our time goes near,
I hope this would be clear.
That life on earth isn't a time for juggling different games,
But a time to test how we become true to unspecified list of names.

So many times we encounter people of different textures,
Smooth or rough while others come in different colors.
Some would leave you hanging in the air,
Not caring if you decide to fall or if you could still bear.

Isn't it good to smile without a side comment?
Isn't it nice to be as real as those children at the moment?
Wouldn't it be better if we say what we think?
And lastly, wouldn't it be nice if we think first what we would say?

Accepting the fact that we can be weak as well,
Isn't something to be ashamed for---coz not at all times we are well.
We are persons…aren't aliens nor predators,
Let's go back to grade 3 and think back of the golden rule: remember the neighbors?

We need someone to talk to,
A person who sticks until we find which way to go.
Someone who'll let go of us in times of dilemma,
Someone who does not disown us when we choose to be in state of temporary amnesia.

A friend we can consider our own,
Someone we can care and love---but treat as neither servants nor possession.
Someone I know who'll be at my side,
When he/she can just choose not to mind.

A friend who may not be the best,
But possesses the heart that genuinely cares---different from the rest.
Someone who doesn't mind my dirt,
But helps me wiping it and gives me water to suffice my thirst.

That someone is now a days difficult to find,
But I do not mind…

FRIENDS ARE JEWELS…
